CHAIRMAN

Jean Gomes has been working for 24 years helping leaders to build the capacity of their thinking, their leadership and people. He focuses on first principle thinking as a means of addressing fundamental issues with the aim of creating enduring value. He has worked across the world with organisations as diverse as The Women's Tennis Association, the Police and Social Workers caring for children's welfare to the leaders of companies such as Microsoft, Sony, Coca-Cola, Shell, Nokia and Toyota.

Jean Gomes is Chairman of The Energy Project UK. The Energy Project is a consultancy committed to helping organisations build sustainable high performance cultures by teaching people to manage their energy rather than their time. Whilst time is finite, energy can be expanded and regularly renewed. Jean is also owner and Managing Director of DPA, a consultancy that works across the world with large organisations on strategy, leadership and organisational change.

The Energy Project UK's work has been delivered to many of the world's largest organisations such as American Express, Google, Ford, Sony Pictures, Unilever, eBay and Microsoft.

Jean has co-authored Be Excellent At Anything, with the New York Times best selling author, Tony Schwartz (The Art of the Deal and The Power of Full Engagement). The book proposes a new framework of ideas for building organisations that can fully benefit from the value of their people. Jean's work with Sony and The Energy Project is the subject of a Harvard Business Review piece in the June 2010 issue.
