The Energy Project helps individuals and organisations transform the way they work.

Demand is overwhelming our capacity. Human beings aren’t meant to run like machines, continuously, at high speeds, for long periods of time. When that happens, we eventually default into the Survival Zone. The key is not the number of hours we put in each day, but the value we create during the hours we’re working.

Time is finite, but we can systematically expand our energy.   We move into the Performance Zone when we alternate between periods of high focus and intermittent renewal to meet our four key energy needs: sustainability (physical); security (emotional) self-expression (mental); and significance (spiritual).

Drawing on the multidisciplinary science of high performance, we have developed a set of simple principles and actionable practices that allow people to become both more productive and more satisfied at work. We help individuals to more skillfully manage their own energy; leaders to manage the energy of those they lead; and organisations to build policies and practices that support a new way of working.

Our clients range from companies such as Google, Ford, Sony, Gillette and Ernst and Young, to organisations including The Police, the Cleveland Clinic, Save the Children and the housing charity Circle Anglia.
